Claude Préval is the founder of maison BABYLON ROAD and serves as the brand’s head Creative Director. Claude was born in the Caribbean to French and Haitian-American parents, he spent most of his childhood growing up in Paris and later in New York. During his teens, Claude moved and enrolled at the university in Boston, Massachusetts, initially attending courses in Art and Architecture. He later redirected his studies to Computer Science and Business Administration. Enthused by multiculturalism, Claude is fluent in five languages.

In 2014, following his stint as a Software Engineer and Corporate Executive in Boston and Madrid, Claude returned to Paris to follow his true passion for art and innovation and created the fashion brand BABYLON ROAD. He has since oversees the brand’s design of all product lines, from bags to clothing and accessories, advertising and corporate image.

 

With Claude at the helm, BABYLON ROAD is vastly becoming a brand of reference for high-end fashion. He is a visionary designer with a passion for creating fashion that pushes boundaries and breaks stereotypes. Under his leadership, the French brand has created a catalog of iconic designs and a unique aesthetic that blends the cutting-edge with the classic contemporary vision of luxury fashion.

Claude is a published author and award winning artist. As a humanitarian, he has worked through his own non-profit foundation to advocate for early education and healthcare for children. He continues to contribute and lead efforts to help fight poverty in marginalized communities in the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.

Claude currently resides in Paris and New York.
